Petillo: Specialty Construction in the NORTHEAST
Heavy Construction With A Plan
Petillo incorporates tight management controls on all of our projects. We believe in a checks and balances management style, in which all employees take full responsibility for their area or areas of expertise. Our foremen, laborers, carpenters, and operators are all highly skilled union employees. These specialists are also led by some of most qualified superintendents and project managers in the industry.
Efficient Construction Begins With the Estimate
We believe that the strength of our management starts with our estimating department. We use the latest in HCSS estimating software, HCSS and Primavera Project Scheduling. We feel that a properly bid project is the key to a successful project. We can properly allocate our resources and manage the project correctly if it is correctly bid and scheduled.
Quality Construction Without Compromise
Once the project is awarded, we use only the most capable vendors and subcontractors, who must be able to meet our stringent quality control and scheduling requirements. The long-term relationships that we have with our subcontractors and vendors are based on their superior prior performance, as well as their shared commitment to excellence. In addition, our senior management is intimately involved with every project on a daily basis, which has assured our success.
State-of-the-Art Construction Equipment
Petillo owns one of the finest, state-of-the-art fleets of construction equipment in the NorthEastern US. Many of our main earth-moving pieces of equipment such as bulldozers and hydraulic excavators are equipped with GPS systems that are tied into our TRIMBLE site-work and survey software. The majority of our fleet is made in America. Our construction equipment features CAT, Ingersol, and John Deere brands. The majority of our tractor trailers and dump trucks are made by Peterbuilt and Mack. In addition, we maintain our own equipment repair facility, which enables us to promptly service our own fleet whenever necessary.
